Since I got my braces on, I’ve been marking the days off in my planner.  Today is Day 297.  Wow!  Doesn’t that seem like a long time?  Then I was flipping through my to-do list/general note-taking notepad that I keep in my purse and I found my notes from the original appointment with my orthodontist, Dr. Weber – it was over a year ago that I had my initial diagnostics done (Oct 16).  Time is really flying by…just wish it would go a little faster! :-#

Hi! I Just found your blog through Katherine's blog. I am 31 and totally understand how it goes feeling like a teen and having everyone tell you about their braces too. When you add surgery to the mix people are like "Oh." They weren't expecting that. Then all of a sudden it seems like they asked you about something that was off limits. Of course, they will notice eventually when you come back to work looking totally different! Anyway, good luck with everything!

I'm shocked to hear how long you have been wearing braces for. Without looking at the photos of your teeth I would not know that you need surgery. Your profile looks great. I'm glad you are getting them fixed.
I found that eventually i looked forward to the adjustments, know that pain is in it's wake. I felt that the pain ment movement and any movement was progress to some sort of ending. Good luck
